What happens at renewal of my policy?
It is our aim to ensure we retain your business year after year. We do not wish to see you insure with us for one year and then move to another company the next. This is why we have a dedicated renewals department who's job is to make sure we offer you the best policy at the best price at every renewal. We will carry out the same thorough check at each and every renewal, to ensure that your covers and premiums remain competitive every year. This is why we stand out above our competitors, who often simply invite renewal without completing a full re-broking exercise.

No Claims Bonus
When you insure a vehicle in your own name you are rewarded for each year that you are claim fee. The bonus usually starts after a full years cover and begins at 30%. In year two it increases to 40%, then 50%, then 60%, then 65% by year five, which is generally regarded as the maximum discount allowable. In the event of a claim your bonus is reduced. One way of stopping your bonus reducing is to protect it, which is usually available once you have attained the maximum allowance. At Seico we understand how hard it can be to build up a no claims bonus and therefore we always remind you at renewal when you can protect your bonus. Over the last few years we have seen many changes in the way No Claims Bonus is given, certainly a culture of ‘no blame’, rather than ‘no claim’ seems to be emerging. This is a very positive step in the industry as people should not be penalized if the blame is not theirs. We are constantly keeping our eyes on this situation and wherever possible No Claims Bonus is being secured when the incident is not the fault of the policyholder.

Clients with an adverse claims history
We appreciate that there are cases where people are unfortunate enough to suffer a number of genuine losses. Many insurers will take the easy option and refuse to offer cover or renewal. Given the full case history, we can often obtain quotations, where others fail. If you need to make a claim, we will ensure that this is settled as quickly and fairly as possible, by liaison with Insurers and Loss Adjusters. A loan car can be provided in most circumstances by your insurer or though our legal protection cover and in at times when it is a non-fault accident it may be possible to even avoid having to pay your policy excess up front. We have developed our 'express claims service' to ensure that in the event of an accident you do not have to also suffer undue stress and worry. In the event of a vehicle 'write off', we will liase with engineers and assessors to obtain the best and fairest offer possible and to recover your excess and other uninsured losses.

If you would like us to offer you a quotation, or carry out a review of your covers, please complete the online form.
